1. The gun ban in the UK worked.

Handgun crime doubled in the UK after they banned handguns. Obviously, this is a huge success. If we keep passing policies that kill and maim millions of people, eventually we’ll all be dead. Boom. No more crime.

2. The constitution…

This is just purely misleading .. that banning guns in any way upped the gun crime rate? No … it was all social and street based issues … So firstly let me say I am not Anti-Gun in the US, because it just seems a bit too late for that to be honest but I dislike the use of misleading information.

Gun Crime in the UK is not double it was after the ban in fact 2011 it was down from the Pre-ban years. Now if you don’t believe me go look here:

That PDF shows the gun crime figures for the last 40 years, there is a spike after the ban but it decreases with in a few years, so to say it doubled is a misleading inaccuracy.

Lets grab random facts and make them look like legitimate reasons for banning guns.

Number of Murders, United States, 2009: 15,241

Number of Murders by Firearms, US, 2009: 9,146

Number of Murders, Britain, 2008*: 648
(Since Britain’s population is 1/5 that of US, this is equivalent to 3,240 US murders)

Number of Murders by[pdf] firearms, Britain, 2008* 39
(equivalent to 195 US murders)

*The Home office reported murder statistics in the UK for the 12 months to March 2009, but these are 12-month figures).

The international comparisons show conclusively that fewer gun owners per capita produce not only fewer murders by firearm, but fewer murders per capita over all. In the case of Britain, firearms murders are 48 times fewer than in the US.

Do hunters really need semi-automatic Glock hand guns? Is that how they roll in deer season? The US public doesn’t think so.

Stop trying to be misleading in gun defence, just point out the facts of why banning guns is just plain stupid in other ways .. there are plenty.
